She provides strategic leadership to BEAT in advancing climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and accountable community-centered development.

Richard (Ng'ombe) Bitendelo is Founder & Convenor of the Blue Economy Alliance of Tanganyika (BEAT), advancing climate resilience, sustainable fisheries, and inclusive livelihoods for Lake Tanganyika communities.

Board Secretary (Legal & Governance)

Diana Damson is an Advocate and governance professional with experience in legal advisory services, institutional compliance, and organizational governance. She supports BEAT’s governance, accountability, and legal systems development.

Dr. Florence W. Sitima

Board Treasurer (Finance & Economics)

Dr. Florence W. Sitima is an economist, researcher, and academic leader with extensive experience in economics, institutional management, and community development. He supports BEAT’s financial oversight and sustainable development strategy.

Dr. Lydia Kapapa is a fisheries socio-economics specialist and Senior Fisheries Research Scientist with expertise in fisheries governance, climate resilience, gender inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods in aquatic communities.
